Day 1 -
Depart USA
Board your
overnight trans-atlantic flights from your hometown. Meals
are served on board.
Day 2 -
Arrive Medjugorje
After an early
morning arrival in Frankfurt (Munich, Prague or Vienna) you
will connect to Dubrovnik (Split or Sarajevo). Upon
arrival, you'll meet your fellow pilgrims and your spiritual
leader. You'll also be greeted by the tour guide and driver
who accompanies you on the 2 1/2 hour drive by private motor
coach to the village of Medjugorje. The guide will be with
your throughout your stay in Medjugorje. Once there, you will
be introduced to your host family in whose modern and
comfortable house you will be staying for the next seven
nights.
Days 3
to 9 - Medjugorje
Experience the beauty and peace of this simple village. During
your stay in Medjugorje you will have the opportunity to share
faith with thousands of pilgrims from all over the world. Our
local guide will accompany us throughout the week.
Some
of the activities we'll be sharing with our fellow pilgrims
are:
Each morning at 10:00 am we assemble at St James Church for the
English-language Mass (Feast days and Sundays English Mass is
at Noon). Follow the same path up Apparition Hill where the
young visionaries first encountered Our Lady. Touch and pray
before the cross that commemorates the spot where Mary first
appeared to the visionaries.
Each evening
at 5:00 pm (or 6:00 pm daylight savings time), we join the
villagers and pilgrims to pray the rosary. The apparition
takes place at 5:40 pm or 6:40 pm daylight savings time,
followed by Croatian Mass. Be sure not to miss Adoration
of the Blessed Sacrament on Tuesdays and
Saturdays and on Fridays Veneration of the Cross in the Church
after evening Mass.
Each evening
during Croatian Mass, there is the Blessing of the Sick and
blessing of the items you have with you. Our guide will
arrange meetings with the visionaries at their own homes. We
will have the opportunity to climb Krizevac Mountain, where in
1933 the villagers built a 30' high Cross on the anniversary
of Jesus' crucifixion. Visit and pray at the "Blue Cross", which
is a place of great healings and graces - a very special place
at the base of Apparition Hill.
We will visit
the Oasis of Peace, which has an incredible 24-hour Adoration
Chapel.
Visit Father
Jozo's parish and attend his highly inspirational talk, and
receive his powerful healing blessing. When the apparitions
began in 1981, Father Jozo was the pastor of St James parish,
and is considered by many to be one of the highlights of any
pilgrimage to Medjugorje. Of course, visit is contingent upon
his schedule.
